Browning Seed, Inc. found its humble beginnings when father-son duo Hollis and Jeane Browning decided to start selling forage seed in 1962. Over the years, that love for the seed industry has grown all while advancing our genetic portfolio through extensive research and development. In 1965, Hollis and Jeane created the FIRST triple cross Sorghum Sudangrass Hybrid, Cadan 99B, and it didn’t stop there. The Browning Family takes pride in our research and development program and continually uses that as a way to develop only the best hybrids that will give our customers the best crops in terms of quality, efficiency and profitability for their operations. In doing this, we offer a full lineup of sorghum sudangrass hybrids, forage sorghum, grain sorghum, millet, alfalfa, corn, native grasses, wildflowers, small grains, cover crops, and more so that we can meet every one of our customer’s needs. Browning Seed has a rich history of being a family business with Jeane’s sons, Lee and John, coming into the business and carrying that torch onward as the 3rd generation of seed specialists. In recent years, Jeane’s grandchildren have also found a love for the seed industry with Kenzi and Jace Browning joining the company as well!
