AHF16 is a fast-growing, semi-dormant alfalfa variety. This alfalfa has an excellent spring frost tolerance and the busy type of growth habit allows quicker regrowth after cutting than other dormant alfalfas. AHF16 also expresses high forage yield capabilities in both a dormant and semi-dormant environment. This particular alfalfa variety is a fall dormancy 6.0 with a winter hardiness level of 3.0.

BQS 417

BQS 417 is a proprietary blend of Vernal alfalfa which can be planted as a cover crop or as a forage for livestock and wildlife attractant, and Cuf 101 Alfalfa which is a very non-dormant variety released by the University of California that produces a high quality hay and forage. BQS 417 can be planted Spring, Summer or Fall in average soil moisture. It is extremely drought tolerant and will tolerate sandy, loamy, or dry soil types.

Cuf 101 Alfalfa is a very non-dormant variety released by the University of California. Principal areas of use are: Low desert valleys of southern California, southern Arizona, southern Nevada, southern New Mexico and southern Old Mexico. Also a popular variety is similar climates in other parts of the world. Good quality hay and forage. Can become somewhat stemmy in older stands.

Vernal Alfalfa

Vernal Alfalfa is a perennial that can be planted as a cover crop and will attract wildlife to the area. It is also good for livestock and wildlife forage.
